although you may be able to teach yourself Java easily, you may have difficulties understanding other's code. there is not much variety in the format and syntax of the code based on that lesson....make sure you pick up other books as well
people from Comp Sci understand how difficult the AP test is... the whole test is like a brain teaser

Thanks for everything but I think there will be a few reasons why I probably won't download this. 1. I just got C++ for dummies. 2. C++ is more graphically oriented. 3. As cool a sun mircorsystems is, they are still require me to sign up, and according to my e-mail client (and my saved e-mails) I now belong to 11 webforums and/or websites in general. I think i'll pass on this one. Thanks for everything though. Plus i'll be taking Comp Sci next year neways and what fun would it be to already know parts of the ciriculum. I'll save the link anyways because knowing me i'll find some reason to change my mind.
P.S. SETI@HOME Roxors my Boxors

and if there are no aliens....power is wasted for no purpose. Meanwhile, people in third world countries die from diseases. At least protein folding goes to a cause that will actually succeed...

In ohh about 10 years, and why not use the processing power to devise a way to get aids medicine to africa that'll help immediately by fixing social problems in underdeveloped african nations with all their population issues thus helping correct economic issues and what not.......or there are millions of other programs such as ur standford protein folding as i've already mentioned many of which have even more immediate (within 10 years) benefits

Actually, I have multiple computers in my house. The other computer will be getting the protien folding program. I'm doing both. You all should learn from my example of creating a harmonious balance in which both sides win.
