without investing in endeavors that lead to cures how do you ever expect to be able to survive when the aliens bring their diseases to us???
on more serious matter, investing resources in medicine and enviornmental issues is far more practical then searching for extra terestial life. mainly becuase that search is mostly a waiting game. we can send all the signals we want and they're not gunna be going much faster all we gotta do is wait.
but in terms of helping do research for any disease why not allow them to use your proccessing power while yer away at skewl? yer not using your comp and the power drain will cost you a whole 10Cents. i'd think that 10 cents would be well worth the lives you could save ¿no?

Were joking around sheez, the point is, thats not the only one there are many many many many many other programs that have the same purpose, and many of which are much more practical, than protein folding which isn't exactly a field that is advanced enough to return quick advances

What good is there to search for aliens? By the time it takes us to send a signal and get one back, we'll be dead. And we can't travel close to the speed of light you can't start the begining of a sentence with "and" tom. It's not grammaticly sane. You've done it twice. Suanders, Were, wheres the apostrophe? Were is refering to the past. We're is we are, stop living in the past suanders.

We're is we are, stop living in the past suanders. It is totally legal to use "and" at the beginning of the sentence. If you read, you'll notice it quite often. It may not be the most effective writing, but it's not wrong.

Take grammar and usage. It will change the way you write and think. It just shows your IQ in your writing, reflection of your education. Tom, you wouldn't go ahead and say "and that thingy that you plug in on that shiny thing... yeah the computer" it's just sorta common etiquette.

uhh when have i been so vague in describing things, uhh never, and i took grammar and usage with ms. Anderson
Don't be so assumptive, besides you aren't perfect when you type either, hence theres proof reading and such which on a fourm isn't exactly essential
